CATAA – Centro de Apoio Tecnológico Agroalimentar de Castelo Branco

The Castelo Branco Agro-Food Technological Support Center (CATAA) is a technological, scientific and training association, non-profit and private in nature, which provides technical and technological support to the agro-industry in three major areas of intervention:
– Innovation and New Product Development;
– Applied Research and Technological Development and
– Capacity Building and Service Provision.

Associação CBPBI – Centro de Biotecnologia de Plantas da Beira Interior

The mission of CBPBI – Center for Plant Biotechnology of Beira Interior is to create knowledge and enhance research in plant biotechnology associated with the productive sectors of agriculture, forestry and aromatic and medicinal plants. This is an association committed to regional development.

CIMVDL – Comunidade Intermunicipal Viseu Dão Lafões

The Intermunicipal Community Viseu Dão Lafões is an intermunicipal public entity of an associative nature and territorial scope whose main mission is to build, with its associated municipalities and all the economic, social and cultural, public and private agents of the territory, the intervention priorities that, as a whole, contribute to the Viseu Dão Lafões Region becoming an innovative, enterprising, attractive and competitive region, enabling its sustainable growth and economic and social cohesion.

CIM-RC – Comunidade Intermunicipal da Região de Coimbra

The Intermunicipal Community of Coimbra Region is a public intermunicipal entity of an associative nature of territorial scope that has as objectives:
– the promotion of the planning and management of the economic, social and environmental development strategy of the territory covered;
– the articulation of municipal investments of inter-municipal interest;
– the participation in the management of support programs for regional development, namely in the scope of management and/or contractualization of community funds;
– the planning of the actions of public entities, of supra-municipal nature.

CIMBB – Comunidade Intermunicipal da Beira Baixa

The Intermunicipal Community of Beira Baixa is a collective person of public law, of associative nature and territorial scope, which aims to achieve common interests of the municipalities that integrate it, stimulating the integrated and collective development, enhancing partnerships, creating synergies and maximizing results. In this way, it is able to implement management practices that identify and meet the needs of the associated municipalities and develop strategies that lead to greater intermunicipal cohesion, with results in improving the quality of life and the sustained development of the region.

CIM-BSE – Comunidade Intermunicipal Beiras e Serra da Estrela

The Intermunicipal Community of Beiras and Serra da Estrela is a public intermunicipal entity of an associative nature of territorial scope whose mission is to enhance, promote the development of the region, optimize and defend the common interests of the associated municipalities and strengthen the joint identity of the region through the articulation of interests and creation of synergies and stimulating the integrated and collective development, valuing partnerships and maximizing results.

The Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco is a public higher education institution, whose mission is the high level qualification of citizens, the production and diffusion of knowledge, as well as the cultural, artistic, technological and scientific formation of its students in an international reference framework.

Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra

The Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra is a higher education institution globally oriented towards the pursuit of the objectives of polytechnic education, namely:

ANCOSE – Associação Nacional de Criadores de Ovinos Serra da Estrela

The Serra da Estrela National Association of Sheep Breeders is a non-profit organization of sheep farmers, pioneer in the sector.

Although it is national in scope, it focuses its activities on the Serra da Estrela breed of sheep and its main objectives are: to ensure the purity and selection of Serra da Estrela sheep; to contribute to the technical and economic development of holdings in this breed; to assist and defend the legitimate interests of its members and represent them in dealings with public and private institutions; to defend and guide the typification of the select products of this breed.

APQDCB – Associação de Produtores de Queijo do Distrito de Castelo Branco

The Cheese Producers of Castelo Branco District Association is a collective entity that has as its main mission the management of the Protected Designations and Origin that are entrusted to it – Queijos da Beira Baixa DOP, Requeijão da Beira Baixa DOP and Travia da Beira Baixa DOP.

The Association seeks to contribute to ensure the authenticity, quality and reputation of their products, performs and collaborates in promotion and dissemination activities as well as others that enhance them, along with all this, keeps a permanent surveillance of the market in order to prevent abusive or unauthorized use of the protected names.

APRORABAÇAL – Associação de Produtos do Rabaçal

APRORABAÇAL – Rabaçal Products Association aims to promote the production of Rabaçal Cheese in order to maintain and manage the Protected Designation of Origin “Rabaçal Cheese” and promote other products of the region.

COAPE – Cooperativa Agropecuária dos Agricultores de Mangualde

The Cooperativa Agropecuária dos Agricultores de Mangualde is a multi-sector cooperative institution of reference in the Mangualde region, composed of four autonomous sections (Purchase and Sale, Red Fruits, CIDECA and Milk Producers), which congregates and harmonizes interests with one mission: to dignify the agricultural sector.
