1. MODERNIZE AND INNOVATE THE RESPONSE CAPACITY OF THE MANAGING ENTITIES OF THE DOP REGIONS AND THE ASSOCIATIONS REPRESENTING PRODUCERS IN THE SECTOR

1.1 Modernization of the technical and material means to support the activity of the managing entities and associations.

The aim is to promote support for associations representing the sector in the acquisition of equipment to improve services for producers in quality control and the milk collection process.

1.2 Implementation of an institutional training program for the organization and promotion of the PDO cheese sector in the Central Region.

The objective of this action is the organization of meetings between the associations representing the sector in the 3 PDO regions with the aim of stimulating cooperation between them. The development of these joint actions will allow for the growth of the central region’s cheese chain as a whole, despite the specificities of each PDO.

This action also foresees the organization of study visits that will allow the understanding of distinct organization and cooperation models, in which good practices can be collected and adapted to the 3 PDO’s of the central region, in order to increase the level of organization of the sector and its capacity to project itself in the national and international market.
